Jackson County CAC suffers grant budget cuts
The Jackson County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), located in Scottsboro, relies greatly upon financial community support even more as they were recently informed that a large part of their grant budget would be cut by over $37,000, with more budget cuts looming for the next fiscal year. Because of the lack of funds, the center was forced to reduce their staff and the resources available to these children.
Groundbreaking held for Innovative Career Academy
The Jackson County School District partnered with the Jackson County Economic Development Authority to launch another Alabama first from Jackson county. The trailblazing Innovation and Career Academy broke ground at the Jackson County Industrial Park, on October 23, 2020.
