RAINSVILLE – The Alabama Community College System (ACCS) has chosen the Northeast Alabama Community College Annual Latino Festival (NACC) as a featured event in the state community college system this year as the ACCS celebrates is Diamond Jubilee (Sixtieth Anniversary.) The NACC Latino Festival will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the college campus in Rainsville.

Scottsboro/Jackson County, AL (May 16, 2023) – The Alabama Accredited Chamber of Commerce program (AACC) sets standards of excellence for chambers in the state of Alabama. It recognizes chambers that have achieved the highest standards of effectiveness and organizational management.
The program is designed to promote public awareness of the chamber of commerce brand as a not-for-profit community development-based business membership organization. The peer review process looks at seven standard topics of chamber management and governance.
Federal protection for healthcare employees
Congress has introduced a bill, Safety from Violence for Healthcare Employees (SAVE) to offer the same legal protections to health care professionals against assault and intimidation that aircraft and airport professionals currently have under federal law, including legal penalties and criminal prosecutions for those who knowingly and intentionally assault, intimidate or physically attack health care workers while they are performing their duties.
