After reflection and prayer I have decided to run for Place 2 on the Scottsboro City School Board. The last few years have been challenging for all, and I want to help our schools recover. I will focus on helping our children catch up on lost skills and ensuring we retain the best teachers.

My husband Gary and I are from Jackson County and as parents have experienced two Scottsboro High graduates, one current, and as SHS students ourselves. My mother was a teacher in Scottsboro schools for over 30 years, as was my grandmother.

I am an attorney with an active practice. I have been the attorney of record for hundreds of cases for local kids, giving me a unique perspective on the needs of our community.  

I will continue to listen to make informed decisions about what is best. Safe schools with the best teachers, staff and resources is my goal. I hope you’ll support me on August 23rd for City School Board Place 2.
