The City of Scottsboro will hold its municipal election on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Qualifying for the election will run from Tuesday, July 7 through Tuesday, July 21.

Five positions will be on the ballot including Scottsboro Mayor, places 1 and 2 on the Scottsboro City Council and places 4 and 5 on the Scottsboro Board of Education.

Candidates who intend to run in the upcoming election may submit a mugshot-style photo and short biographical announcement to The Clarion by emailing [email protected]. Announcements may not be used to promote campaign platform. No announcements will be accepted after the qualifying deadline on July 21.
