Scottsboro Boys Museum hosting free Juneteenth Program
The Scottsboro Boys Museum invites citizens to celebrate Juneteenth with a wonderful speaker lineup, delicious food trucks and outdoor activities for the whole family.
The event will take place at The Scottsboro Boys Museum located at 428 W. Willow St, Scottsboro on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
The museum will open for free tours at 9:30 a.m., and the program will begin at 11:00 a.m. Guests are encouraged to eat lunch and commune outside afterwards.
The program will feature keynote speaker, former Attorney General Bill Baxley.
As Alabama’s Attorney General, Baxley was instrumental in obtaining a pardon for the last living Scottsboro Boy, Clarence Norris, in 1976.
Baxley also has ties to the Scottsboro community from prosecuting the 1975 Hugh Otis Bynum case.
The Scottsboro Boys Museum would like to warmly invite everyone to help celebrate freedom and honor those who fought for it.
