If you pass by our office on Veterans Drive during the month of September, you’ll see four large teal bows hanging from the columns on the front of our building. Most will travel by and probably never take notice, but for some of us, their meaning carries a message deeper than the words on this page can convey.

Child Advocacy Center granted $100,000
During the recent Scottsboro City Council meeting council members voted to allocate $10,000 in tourism grant funds to the Scottsboro BBQ Festival.

Jackson County CAC requests funding
During last week’s Scottsboro City Council work session, the Jackson County Children’s Advocacy Center requested funding in the amount of $300,000 from the opioid settlement funds received by the City of Scottsboro. It was noted that of the $8.5 million distributed, $730,000 was given to the Alabama Boys and Girls Club.
