Vernon Luke Bryant, age 85 of Section, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Funeral services were held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from the Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Brian Thomas and grandson Andrew Crosley officiated. Interment followed in the Bluff Cemetery.
Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Inez Bryant; daughters, Vernetta Bryant (Anthony) Crosley, Sherry Bryant; grandchildren, Andrew (Angie) Crosley, Emily Crosley (Garrett) Hogg, Ryader Bryant Griffin; great grandsons, Jude Lessley and Luke Hogg; stepsons, Labron Holt, Byran (Gretchen) Holt; step grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Erick) Burrio, Hunter (Lydia) Holt, Hayden (Autumn) Holt; step great grandchildren, Oliver Burrio, Baylor Holt; brothers, Earl (Jackie) Bryant, Vincent (Denise) Bryant; sister, Linda (Nelson) Holland.
Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Bryant; parents, Sam Bryant and Dollie Bryant; sisters, Joyce Lloyd, Jessie Palmore, Sarah Joiner, Faye Brewer and Helen Wright; and brother, James Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was a retired Union Iron Worker Welder out of Local 704 in Chattanooga, TN. He was a 32-degree Mason. After retirement Mr. Bryant enjoyed traveling with his wife Inez. He was born July 23, 1940 in Toney, AL.
