United Givers Fund to kick off 2026 campaign

The United Givers Fund of Jackson County (UGF) will officially kick off its 2026 fundraising campaign with a community celebration on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Hollywood 10 Cinema in Scottsboro. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
“For decades, the UGF has provided vital funding to programs that are essential to so many Jackson County residents,” says Daniel Colon, UGF President.
The event will showcase the nonprofit and service agencies supported by UGF. Guests will enjoy complimentary popcorn, the chance to win door prizes, and opportunities to learn how UGF contributions support families, seniors, children and neighbors in need.

“United Givers Fund is about neighbors helping neighbors,” says Journie Lea, UGF Vice President. “When you give to UGF, you’re not just donating to one program — you’re fueling dozens of agencies that provide critical services right here in Jackson County. We hope everyone will come learn more about the program.”

The annual campaign provides funding for trusted community partners such as the CASA of Jackson County, Boys & Girls Clubs, Girl Scouts, IMPACT Learning Center and many more.
“Our contributions stay local,” says Colon. “Our programs help ensure seniors have access to transportation, children benefit from after-school programs, and families in crisis find support. It’s vital work.”
