Shirley Hill Morris, age 88 of Scottsboro, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Morris Cemetery in Estillfork.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her sons, Kenneth Marvin (Claudia) Morris and Tony (Sheila) Morris; grandchildren, Jason Morris, Amy (Robert) Humphries, Emily (Jason) Huffman, Keneta Morris, Tirsah (Taylor) Thrash, Carla (Mickey) Taylor, Kyle (Ashley) Morris and Josh (Shelby) Fralick; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Morris; son, Danny Morris; and seven siblings.
Shirley was born in Jackson County Alabama on September 24, 1937 to Webb Hill and Essie Fowler Hill. She spent many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In her spare time, Shirley was a great poet, having written over 1200 poems. She also loved to crochet and work in her garden.
