Ronald Jerry Wade, age 74, of Scottsboro, passed away on August 24, 2026. Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Arnold officiated. Interment followed in the Hytop Cemetery.
Mr. Wade is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynn Wade; his daughter, Sheri Rouse; his son, Chris (Holly) Wade; his granddaughter, Kalyn (Bradley) Rouse-Johnson; his grandsons, Laken and Landon Wade; his brother, Donny (Brenda) Wade; his sister-in-law, Patricia (Gary) Edwards; his brother-in-law, Scotty Baugh; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Verna Mae Wade; his sister, Rachel Hill; and his parents-in-law Berlin and Marcine Baugh.
Jerry has always had a love for the outdoors and adventure.
As a child, he would traipse around the woods behind his home for hours.
Jerry loved to hunt, but as he got older, he enjoyed simply looking for any and all wildlife.
He raised beagles with his family and shared that love of dogs with his children.
Jerry instilled his love of fishing in his children and grandchildren, making sure to bait their hooks for them.
He was an avid Braves fan.
He enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports. He loved woodworking and built beautifully handcrafted gifts for his family.
