Robert Earl Edwards, age 54, of Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. He was born August 10, 1972.
Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Robert’s life, share memories and celebrate the man he was on October 23, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Robert was a family man through and through.
He was headstrong, strong-willed and never afraid to speak his mind. He stood firmly on what he believed and lived life on his own terms.
Robert could be difficult at times, but underneath that tough exterior was a man who meant well and loved his family deeply.
Those who knew Robert knew exactly who he was—unapologetically himself, with a heart that often cared more than he showed.
Robert enjoyed the simple things in life that brought him happiness.
He loved fishing, working on cars, playing poker and shooting pool.
He also had a knack for finding a legal hustle and making a little money along the way.
Whether he was working with his hands, enjoying a game or simply spending time with the people he loved, Robert approached life with his own unmistakable spirit.
Robert leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lori Edwards; his former wife and friend, Teresa Edwards; his children, Justin Edwards and wife, Shamee, Brandon Edwards, Brittney Johnson and husband, Darak, Hannah Edwards, and Alexis Edwards and Cameron Crowell; his stepdaughters, Allyson Staats and husband, Joseph, and Tori Gregory; his grandchildren, Tiana Williams, Thomas Williams, Hendrix Beebe, Sebastian Edwards, Lilly Edwards, Noah Edwards, Geras Johnson, Adaline Edwards, Kaleb Edwards, Merida Edwards and Evelyn Staats; his sister, Melissa Blankenship; his brothers, Joe Winsett and Roy Blankenship; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Blankenship; his stepfather, Allen Blankenship; his grandson, Jamison Edwards; his granddaughter, Ara’Leigh Johnson; his stepson, Alexzander Brown; and Leicester Danielle Blankenship.
Though Robert is no longer here, the memories he created, the lessons he taught and the love he gave will remain with his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
