Reba J. Lewis, age 95, of Scottsboro, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
A graveside service was held at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 11 a.m.
Born on August 28, 1931, in Scottsboro, Reba was the daughter of the late Maude and Dewey James.
She spent her life devoted to her family, her faith and the many interests that brought her joy.
Reba was a lifelong member of Randall’s Chapel Church and a member of the Jackson County Master Gardener Association.
She had a deep love for gardening and could often be found working on her latest project.
Her creativity extended well beyond the garden, as she also had a passion for baking, fashion and interior design.
Whether she was tending to something growing, creating something beautiful for her home or preparing something special in the kitchen, Reba rarely found herself without a project underway.
Above all, Reba was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her family was an important part of her life, and the love she shared with them will remain through the many generations she leaves behind.
Reba was preceded in death by her parents, Maude and Dewey James; her husband, O.C. Lewis; daughter, Teresa Davis; sisters, Joy Arnold and Linda Kay James; grandchildren, Max Davis and Kathryn Davis; and great-grandchildren, Abigail Shaver and Blake Davis.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Robert Shaver Jr.; sister, Gail Word and husband, Jake Word; grandchildren, Robert Davis and wife, Chasity, Erik Davis and wife, Jennifer, Anna Kate Terpo and husband, Bill, and Emilie Shaver; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members who will cherish her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Reba’s memory.
