Mary Jean Shelton, age 94, of Scottsboro, passed away on August 23, 2026. Graveside and burial services were held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Chaplain Rick Fowler officiated.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by her son, David Allen Shelton; her granddaughters, Rachelle Shelton and Raegan Shelton; her grandson, Daniel (Lauren) Shelton; and her great-grandchildren, Nora, Zachary, and William.
Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by her husband, David Harold Shelton; her parents, Richard and Lula Harris; her sister, Ruth Hill; her daughter-in-law, Donna Shelton, and many beloved friends.
Mrs. Shelton was born and raised in Larkinsville and lived in Scottsboro for many years. Besides spoiling her grandchildren, her favorite things to do were to cook, read, crossword puzzles, and word searches.
