Marvin Leon Holcomb, age 86 of Scottsboro, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 20, 2026 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dean Jeffery officiated. Interment followed in the Gross Cemetery.
Mr. Holcomb is survived by his brother, Raymond Holcomb; sister, Mary Dell Burke; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Holcomb and Vernie O’linger Holcomb; and his brothers, Calvin, Billy Hugh, and Freddie.
Marvin was born on Goosepond Island on August 16, 1939. Marvin spent many years as a commercial fisherman and also worked as the manager of the bowling alley in Scottsboro.
