Margaret Jo Garner, age 98, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Garner is survived by one brother, Fred Henry; her sons Tommy Garner, Charles Garner, Johnny Garner; and her daughter, Shirley Weigel; 14 grandkids, 23 great grand kids, and 15 great great grand kids.
Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by many cherished loved ones who now welcome her at the gates of heaven, including her son, CW Garner; her parents, Dee and Mattie Henry; her husbands, GW Garner and Gordon Garner; her three brothers, Virgil, Gertis, and Gordon Henry; and her sisters, Bertha Jackson, Pearlene Henry, and Evelynn King.
Affectionately known as “Granny” to all who knew and loved her, leaves behind a legacy of warmth and wisdom. To all whose lives she touched, she was more than a mother or grandmother—she was a guiding light, a storyteller, a nurturer, and a steadfast friend.
