Jimmy Lee “Jim” Kirstein, age 90 of Hollywood, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2026. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel.
Bro. Isaac Mays officiated. Interment followed in the Section Bluff Cemetery.
Jim is survived by his son, Rod (Sue) Kirstein, Jeff (Pam) Kirstein; daughter, Kim (Marty) Goolesby;
Grandchildren, Darrell Mays, Stacy Clarke, Amanda (Brett) Hammon, Danielle (Weston) Meeks, Ryan (Erica) Kirstein, Chasity Goolesby, Jay Goolesby;
Great grandchildren, Gage, Hunter, Peggy, Annabelle, Mecala (Jake) Lewis, Mikinley (Troy) Saint, Baylee Clarke, Ava Hammon, Grayson Hammon; great-great grandchildren, Lorelia, Jack, Elisabeth, Rylee, Ariyah, and several nieces and nephews;
brothers, Coy Kirstein, Tom Kirstein; and sister, Frankie Smith.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Mollie Kirstein;
brother, Dink; sisters, Margaret Roberts, and Nancy Race.
He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
