James Lee Talkington, age 66 of Swearengin, passed away on July 30, 2025. In keeping with his wishing, no visitation or services are planned.
Mr. Talkington is survived by his little dog, Blackie, who thought he hung the moon and stars.
Mr. Talkington was born in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 23, 1959 to Mary Lou Sisk Talkington and Buster Lee Talkington. He attended Plainview High School in DeKalb County.
James lived for several years in Waycross, Georgia before returning to the Scottsboro area.
Known to some of his friends as “Bicycle” because that is how he got around in Swearengin. He worked as a house painter.
