IMPACT Learning Center is proud to announce it has been officially selected by Google to distribute Google Career Certificate Scholarships to the Jackson County community. This prestigious partnership marks the launch of IMPACT Works: Grow Jackson County, an initiative dedicated to creating economic opportunity through high-tech job training.
Through this program, IMPACT Learning Center will grant full-tuition scholarships for Google Career Certificates in high-growth fields including IT Support, Data Analytics, Project Management and Digital Marketing and E-commerce.
These certificates are designed to prepare learners for in-demand jobs in less than six months, with no prior degree or experience required.
“We are incredibly excited to work together with Google to provide world-class job training directly to our neighbors,” said Amanda Sparks of IMPACT Learning Center. “Being approved to distribute these scholarships means we can remove the financial barriers that often stand between our local talent and high-paying tech careers.
IMPACT Works is about more than just classes; it’s about creating a direct path to economic mobility right here in Scottsboro.”
Once a learner completes a certificate, they gain access to a hiring consortium of over 150 top employers – including Deloitte, Verizon and Google – who are looking to hire certificate graduates.
A priority waitlist is now open. Because scholarships are limited, IMPACT Learning Center is currently accepting names for a Priority Interest List. Local residents, including those looking for a career change or specialized skills, are encouraged to sign up immediately to be notified when the application window officially opens.
