With both daytime and evening sessions available, the October schedule offers a variety of learning opportunities for residents with different interests, experience levels, and schedules.

“Our goal at IMPACT is to make education accessible, practical, and meaningful for the people of Jackson County,” said Amanda Sparks, Executive Director of IMPACT Learning Center.

“Whether someone wants to learn how to protect themselves from online scams, become more comfortable using technology, or develop new skills that could benefit them in the workplace, we want to provide opportunities that help them grow.”

October 26–29: Everyday Technology and Video Marketing
IMPACT will conclude its October schedule with two classes focusing on digital confidence and creative communication.

Every Day Tech Made Easy will be offered October 26–29 from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

This beginner-friendly class is designed to help participants become more comfortable using smartphones, tablets, email, and other everyday digital tools.

Participants will have opportunities to practice essential technology skills in a welcoming, supportive learning environment.

Video Marketing: Create with CapCut, TikTok, and Facebook Reels will be offered October 26–29 from 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Certificate Pathway courses include all four evening offerings, along with the October 19–22 daytime Microsoft Word & Google Docs class.

Participants who successfully complete the requirements of their selected course will receive an IMPACT Learning Center Certificate of Completion.

“Our Certificate Pathway gives participants an opportunity to do more than simply attend a class,” Sparks explained.

“We want them to leave with new skills, greater confidence, and a certificate recognizing their accomplishment.

Whether they’re preparing for a new job, looking to grow their business, or simply interested in learning something new, we want to help them take that next step.”

All October classes are offered free of charge through IMPACT Learning Center.
All classes will be held at IMPACT Learning Center in Scottsboro.

Residents are encouraged to visit www.impactlearningcenter.org for additional information about IMPACT’s educational programs and upcoming learning opportunities.

“At IMPACT, we believe learning should be a lifelong opportunity,” Sparks added.

We’re excited to welcome both new and returning participants this October and look forward to continuing to provide educational opportunities that empower the people of Jackson County.”
