Gerald “Bud” Ware, age 68, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. Funeral services were held from the Grant Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 11, 2025. A eulogy was provided by Steadman McPeters. Bro. Chris Sims and Bro. Scott Byrum officiated. Bro. Michael Clark’s words were also shared. Interment followed in the New Prospect Cemetery.
Mr. Ware is survived by his wife, Rhonda Jane Ware; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brandi Ware; his favorite granddaughter, Grace Ware; his grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Landon and Amaleah Ware; and his grandson, Easton Ware; his siblings, Billy Harold (Virginia) Ware, Jr., Robert (Cathleen) Ware, Bobby Ware, Terry (Gayla) Ware, Doug (Chas) Ware and Rose (Shawn) Pruitt ; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and an innumerable amount of friends.
Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Ware Sims; son, Zachery Ware; parents, Billy Harold Ware, Sr. and Ilene Ware; and his precious mother-in-law, Louise Jackson.
