George Denmark, age 70, of Woodville, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Elder Darrel Chambers and Elder Charles Godwin officiated. Interment followed in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Mr. Denmark is survived by his wife, Cathy Denmark; sons, James Paul (Karen) Denmark, Joshua (Leeann) Denmark, Daniel Lee (Heather) Denmark; grandchildren, Morgan Denmark, Joshua Denmark, Susie Denmark; sisters, Geneva Stokes, Gale (Billy) Slocumb; brothers, Wallace “Bud” Denmark, Victor (Diane) Denmark; several nieces and nephews; special fur child, Maggie.
Mr. Denmark was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loca Denmark.
George was an Elder at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and Chief of the United Cherokee Ani-Yu – Wiya – Nation.
