Geneva Hodges Lillian Kilgore passed away on September 6, 2025. A graveside service was held in the Sanders Mill Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Kilgore is survived by her three children Jim (Tammy) Killian , Reneé (Dennis) Killian-Zeiger and David Killian ; grandchildren Josh (Katlyn) Killian, Chris (Nicole) Killian and Cassie (Jake) Killian-Woods ; as well as four great-grandchildren Jude, John, Dex and Oliver; two brothers, Gordon Hodges and Jackie (Janice) Hodges.
Mrs. Kilgore was preceded in death by her father, Wailon Milbourn Hodges; mother, Annie Mashburn Hodges; step-mother Janie Vanilla Womack Hodges; brothers, Ollie Wain Hodges, Billy Joe Hodges; sister Mary Jane Hodges Beeman; first husband of 39 years, James Daniel Killian; and second husband Harold Harry Kilgore.
Geneva loved her children and extended family deeply. She loved cooking and working in her yard and was twice awarded Yard of the Month. She was a devoted member of Scottsboro Free Holiness Church and loved serving and helping others and never asked for anything in return.
