Mr. Earl Shadden, age 87, of the Swearengin Community, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Earl was born and raised in Rhea County, Tennessee, where he learned early in life the value of hard work, dedication, and providing for those he loved.
While working at a sock mill in Chattanooga, Earl met Sue Pritchett, the woman who would become the love of his life.
Their courtship may have been brief, but the love they found in one another would last a lifetime.
The two were married on September 7, 1959, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned 58 years.
Together, Earl and Sue built a life centered around love, family, and the countless memories created through nearly six decades of marriage.
They remained side by side until Sue’s passing on October 5, 2017.
The years may have passed, but the love they shared remained an important part of Earl’s life—a lasting testament to the life they built together and the commitment they made to one another so many years ago.
