Barbara Ann Glass, age 88, passed away on June 27, 2026. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from the Grant Memorial Chapel. Brother Anthony Barnes officiated.
Interment followed in the Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Glass is survived by her children, Keith (Rita) Sutton, Kevin (Shannon) Sutton, Kim (Fred ) Severson; grandchildren, Kristi (Russell) Hunter, Kelsey (Trey) Holland, Kayla VanWyck; step grandchildren, Heather Maples, Chris North; many great grandchildren; brother, Billy Joe (Sandy) Taylor; sister, Fran (Bill) Lanford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Born on May 16, 1938, to Jesse and Cassie Taylor in Guntersville, she lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to her family.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She enjoyed cooking, decorating, shopping, and tending to her beautiful flowers.
She found great joy in spending time with her family and friends.
Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and cherished memories. As the owner and operator of three restaurants, she dedicated many years to serving her community with delicious meals and warm hospitality.
Her strong work ethic and determination were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Guntersville.. She took great pride in caring for those she loved.
