Three Arts Club to host Art Sunday, annual photo contest

This year, the 53rd Annual Art Sunday will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at King Caldwell Park from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in Scottsboro. Visitors can expect to experience a day filled with creativity and community, and will have the opportunity to explore a diverse array of artists and makers, from unique arts and crafts to stunning photography. There will be live music performances, children’s activities and a variety of food and beverage vendors. The cash only admission is $3 for adults and $2 for school-aged children. Admission is free for children under 5, veterans with a military ID, or anyone wearing the official 2026 Art Sunday t-shirt.

There will also be an amateur youth and adult photography contest, and entrants can take a photo of a person, place or thing. Contestants may drop off the 8×10 photo, entry form and $5 entry fee to the Scottsboro or Jackson County Board of Education by September 3, or it may be dropped off at Art Sunday at the welcome table beside the cabin from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. All entries will receive free admission to Art Sunday.

Proceeds from Art Sunday make it possible for the club to sponsor many community projects and educational endeavors. Projects funded by the proceeds of Art Sunday include: violin lessons for 3rd graders; field trips to plays, ballets and symphonies; college scholarship for a graduating senior; donations to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the IMPACT Learning Center, Scottsboro Public Library and Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County.
