Donald R. “Duck” Hilts, 78 of Scottsboro, passed away on Monday May 25, 2026. A celebration of life will be held on June 27, 2026 in Dana, Ill.
Mr. HIlts is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Martha Hilts; four daughters, Paula (Tim Randall) Arnold, Laurie (Rob) Strauch, Kathyrn (Rich) Johnson, Michelle (Brian) Gabrielse; sister, Eleanor Shives, six grand kids, two grand dogs, five great grand kids; sisters in law, Paula (Pete) Schneider, Rita (Dale) Rients, Mary( Arlin) Tjaden; as well as eight nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hilts was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Madge Hilts, and a niece.
Don was born in Springfield, IL. on November 4, 1947 Don was adopted by his loving parents Russell and Madge Hilts in 1949.
Don loved NASCAR, softball, motorcycles and his family. He was a strong willed man that worked hard and loved his family.
