The Scottsboro Boys Museum invites everyone to celebrate the official groundbreaking of its outdoor expansion project on Saturday, May 16 at 9:00 a.m.
This event will be held at The Scottsboro Boys Museum, located at 428 West Willow Street in Scottsboro.
Following the brief groundbreaking ceremony, a free community breakfast will be served until 11 a.m.

The entire community is welcome to attend and learn more about the expansion plans at this event.
The project will feature a welcome plaza, the Mothers’ Memorial Garden, a 1930s era boxcar, an outdoor classroom, historic panels for additional context and more.
This space helps connect the important history in the museum to living relics of the case in our community.

The Scottsboro Boys Museum is a museum dedicated to honoring the nine young men known as The Scottsboro Boys: Haywood Patterson, Olen Montgomery, Clarence Norris, Andy Wright, Ozie Powell, Willie Roberson, Charlie Weems, Roy Wright and Eugene Williams.
The museum’s mission is to ensure the injustices faced by these young men are never forgotten through preservation, education and interpretation.
