Mustangs finish eighth at season-ending NJCAA South District 8 Division II Men’s Golf Championships

NACC’s Holt, Roberts post Top-20 individual finishes

The Northeast Alabama Community College men’s golf team wrapped up its season on a solid note.

Four NACC golfers moved up in the individual standings during today’s third and final round of the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Men’s Golf Championships at Cider Ridge Golf Club in Oxford.

The Mustangs finished eighth in the team standings with a three-day team score of 103-over par. It was NACC’s third Top-10 finish of the season, its first under head coach Jabo Moore, and its second-best finish in a tournament this season.

NACC had two golfers place inside the Top-20 of the individual standings.

Braden Holt turned in his best round of the tournament, climbing four spots up the leaderboard to 16th with a final-round 5-over par 77. The freshman’s day featured three birdies and eight pars. He finished the three-round tournament at a combined 20-over par.
Sophomore Ethan Roberts carded a 6-over par 78, posting two birdies and 10 pars during the final round. Roberts climbed eight spots in the standings on the final day to finish in a two-way tie for 17th place with a three-round score of 22-over par.

Sophomore Reed Potter turned in a 10-over par 82 in Round 3 — his round included four birdies and five pars — to move up one spot to finish tied for 30th at 29-over for the tournament. Sophomore Greyson Widgeon shot a 16-over par 88 and totaled two birdies and five pars while finishing 37th (34-over par) overall. Freshman Blake Maples also shot a 16-over 88 during a round that included seven pars and one birdie. Maples tied for 54th after subbing in to play the second and third rounds for the Mustangs. Freshman Reece McKlintok, who only played in Sunday’s opening round, finished 64th.


NACC sophomore Ethan Roberts climbed eight spots up the leaderboard in the final round to finish tied for 17th-place in the NJCAA South District 8 Tournament.
