Jacqueline Corinne Jones Cousins passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Cousins is survived by her son, Michael (Donna) Cousins, III; and grandchildren, Cameron Cousins and Shannon Cousins.
Mrs. Cousins was preceded in death by her husband Michael “Mike” Cousins, Jr.; parents, Arthur Lamar Jones and Maggie Louise Jones; sister, Mary Elizabeth Jones; brother, Louis Jones; sister, Martha Jones Peters; brother in law, Max Henderson Peters.
Corinne “Jackie, Rinny” was born on February 26, 1946 in St. Joseph, Louisiana.
Corinne graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La in 1969 and became an elementary school teacher.
She taught for many years at George Cox Elementary in Jefferson Parish. She retired from teaching and found enjoyment with various arts and crafts, as well as becoming an avid gardener.
She was a Master Gardener in both Louisiana and Alabama, where she and Mike moved to enjoy their retirement.
Corinne leaves behind many happy memories for family and friends.
