Trina Lynne Mount Johnson of Scottsboro, passed away on February 22, 2026.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jody Bell and Dr. David Beck officiated. Interment followed in the Union Cemetery .

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Brooke JoAnn Johnson; parents, Retired Sheriff Paul Mount and JoAnn Mount; paternal grandparents, Jesse Mount and Ethel Mount; maternal grandparents, Lester Berry and Mildred Berry; father of her children, David Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Scottsboro High School, Class of 1979.

She furthered her education at UAH and Alabama A&M where she pursued a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.

She spent thirty-three years employed with the Jackson County Board of Education teaching, supporting, and loving countless students. Following retirement, she was employed with the TVA CIP Center as a proctor and later served with the Jackson County Board of Registrars as a clerk.

She spent many Saturdays serving her community through Jacob’s Well Food Pantry and was an active member of Grace Baptist Church.

She was very family-oriented and considered the backbone of her family. Her loved ones knew she was always only a phone call or text away, no matter the time of day.

She will also be remembered for her love of using numerous emojis in her text messages, her big heart, and her ability to see the best in everyone while loving unconditionally.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Blake (Sabrina) Johnson and Brieanne (Jeremiah) Ellison; grandchildren, Aubrie and Christopher Johnson and Dessie Ellison; sister, Tanya Proctor; uncle, James (Charlotte) Mount; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins.
