Gladys Sisco Stewart, age 101 of Scottsboro, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Rev Phillip Stewart officiating and Todd McLaughlin offered a eulogy. Interment followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by her daughters, Judy Hall and Joan McLaughlin; son, Gene Stewart; grandchildren, Patricia (Pat) Kelley, Todd (Vicky) McLaughlin, Keith Hall, Cynthia Hymer, Patrick Stewart, Jason (Tamara) McLaughlin, Phillip (Emily) Stewart and Heather (Tim) Calfee; great grandchildren, Matthew (Holly) Kelley, Jacob Kelley, Candi Marousky, Victoria McLaughlin, Marissa (Lane) Pitts, Jadon McLaughlin, Allison French, Thomas French, Connor Calfee, Luke (Kelli) Calfee, William Stewart, Clinton (Shelby) Stewart, John David Stewart, and Vanessa Stewart; seven great great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild on the way; sisters-in-law, Vera Sisco and Lila Stewart; and host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Stewart; sons-in-law, Hershel Hall and Roy McLaughlin; daughter-in-law, Linda Stewart; siblings, Alma Pace, Velma Chrisman, Rayford Sisco, and Bennie Sisco; and parents, Ben and Virgie Mae Edmonds Sisco.
