John Richard Brewer, age 79 of Scottsboro, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Brewer is survived by his wife, Cherry L. brewer; son, Randy Hobbs; daughters, Ellisha (Chuck) Nicks, Cherry (John) Wiggins, Bonie (Norm) Forrest; grandchildren, Kaytie Maness, John T. Womey, Brady Wiggins, Brody Wigins, Briley Wiggins, Slade Foster, Blake Foster, Kelsi Forrest, Hunter Forrest; eight great grandchildren and one on the way.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Alice English and Henry Matthew Brwer; his siblings; son, Scott Hobbs; and grandson, Lee Adams.
John was a US Navy veteran, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad where he was a mechanic supervisor, he was a boat owner and loved to spend time out on the Tennessee River with family and friends..
