Erika Trudewind Parron, age 60, of Scottsboro, formerly of Shady Side, Maryland, passed away on August 20, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Erika is survived by her husband of nearly 33 years, Jeff Parron; daughter, Crystal Lynne (Matthew) Kilgore; son, Steven George (Mireya Velasco) Wilde; grandchildren, Liam Wilde, Lincoln Wilde, Arden Kilgore, and Tony Fullen; stepson, Jeffery (Amy) Fullen; two sisters, MonaLisa Agans and Elizabeth Hall; one brother, Robert Ebaugh; her amazing dog JoJo and a long list of dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving father, Leon and stepmother, Patricia Trudewind.
Erika was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
She was the cherished wife of a devoted Navy veteran who served our country for 20 years. Erika traveled the East Coast alongside her husband Jeff throughout his military service. He remained faithfully by her side through every chapter of their life together, especially during her long battle of illness. Erika adored watching her children learn and grow and excelled at being an incredible mom. She always put her family first and loved her children wholeheartedly. Though her passing came unexpectedly, Erika fought with incredible strength and grace.
An exceptional prayer warrior, Erika had a beautiful heart for ministry and service. She was an active member of the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA), combining her love for Christ and the open road. She loved the outdoors and found deep joy in the peace and beauty of nature.
Erika was a true example of selflessness and loved fiercely! Her kind spirit touched countless lives, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
She is now at peace and joyfully dancing in Heaven.
